Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero both graced The Game Awards 2024 with new trailers. The Honkai: Star Rail trailer showcased the upcoming Amphoreus location and a mysterious new character, Castorice.

Following The Game Awards 2024, while the winners are noteworthy, the trailers themselves deserve closer inspection. MiHoYo's Honkai: Star Rail took center stage, sharing the spotlight with Zenless Zone Zero on the Los Angeles stage. This latest trailer offered a tantalizing preview of Amphoreus, the next exciting destination, and introduced the enigmatic Castorice. The trailer also revisited previously explored locations.

The brief glimpses of Amphoreus are sure to enthrall dedicated Honkai fans. However, the identity and role of Castorice remain a captivating mystery.

Amphoreus and Castorice: Unveiling the Mysteries

Amphoreus's Grecian-inspired aesthetic aligns with MiHoYo's tendency to draw inspiration from real-world cultures. Theories suggest a connection to the ancient Greek unit of measurement, the ampheoreus, further reinforcing the Hellenic influences.

Castorice's introduction follows a pattern of MiHoYo unveiling mysterious female characters before their full reveals, adding to the intrigue. She certainly presents a more enigmatic figure than previous introductions.
