This engaging six-issue series is set to be released under DC's ongoing All In initiative. The unique pairing of Cheetah and Cheshire, though seemingly unconventional, connects back to the creators' past works at DC, with Cheetah featuring prominently in Rucka's two Wonder Woman runs and Cheshire being a key character in Scott's "Secret Six" series alongside writer Gail Simone.
Here's the official synopsis from DC:
Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League follows the titular characters as they meticulously plan and execute a daring heist—targeting the most secure facility in the DC Universe. Their goal? To pull off the heist of the century and escape unscathed. To achieve the impossible, Cheetah and Cheshire must assemble an elite crew capable of outsmarting not just the odds, but the Justice League itself. Their mission is to secure one of the most dangerous devices in the DCU, all while navigating the treacherous waters of their own alliances. The only obstacles in their path? A state-of-the-art orbital platform, an AI-driven security system, and, of course, the most brilliant and powerful heroes in the DC Universe.
In a statement, Rucka emphasized the challenge ahead: “This is a crew of villains, or at least nominal bad guys. Not one of them has access to—let alone would be welcomed aboard—the Justice League Watchtower. We’re not making this easy on them. But for Cheetah especially, this is an all-or-nothing play—she needs to do this job, and she’s not going to let anything, or anyone, keep her from getting what she’s after.”
"Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #1" is slated for release on August 6, 2025.
