Zynga is bringing a nostalgic thrill to their game Custom Street Racer 2, also known as CSR2, with an exciting crossover celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic 1985 film, Back to the Future, directed by Robert Zemeckis.
CSR2 Is Taking You Back to the Future
Starting today, players have the opportunity to collect and race the legendary DeLorean Time Machine from the original film. While it doesn't offer any performance boosts or special abilities, the DeLorean is fully drivable in the game. Beyond the iconic car, CSR2 is introducing a comprehensive Back to the Future-themed experience.
The crossover includes a custom in-game UI inspired by the movie, a new narrative, and a series of events. Players can participate in three dedicated flash events centered around the Time Machine, as well as engage in a community competition.
Zynga has announced that more themed events will be released throughout the year, ensuring this collaboration is more than just a one-off update. Currently, CSR2 is hosting quizzes on their social media platforms where participants can win various rewards. Be sure to check them out right here.

Sadly, No Free Trips to 1955!
Although the game won't let you travel to 1955 as in the movie or even experience time travel like in Reverse:1999, this CSR2 x Back to the Future collaboration is truly unique. The legendary gull-winged DeLorean from the first film is now available to drive in-game, which is thrilling in itself.
Sam Cooper, Zynga's Vice President of Games, emphasized the uniqueness of this collaboration, calling the Time Machine one of the most recognizable and beloved vehicles in cinematic history. He expressed enthusiasm about allowing players to virtually race the car while celebrating the movie's significant milestone anniversary.
What are your thoughts on this crossover? Will you be taking the DeLorean for a spin? You can download Custom Street Racer 2 from the Google Play Store to get your hands on the new car.
