Prepare yourselves, goat lovers! Goat Simulator, that glorious bastion of absurd gameplay, is branching out – into a card game! Yes, you read that right. Get ready for some seriously chaotic, goat-fueled fun later this year.
Coffee Stain North, the masterminds behind the original Goat Simulator mayhem, are joining forces with MOOD Publishing (creators of hit board games like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game) to bring this bizarre, beautiful card game to life.
What's in Store for Goat Simulator: The Card Game?
Details are scarce for now, but we do know this much: 2-6 players will engage in a hilarious battle of goat-driven mayhem. Expect all the ridiculousness that made the original games so beloved, now neatly packaged in a card game box.
Launching on Kickstarter later this year, Goat Simulator: The Card Game is a physical card game. If you’ve ever digitally flung a goat into the digital stratosphere, you can probably imagine the level of delightful chaos this card game will unleash.
Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, perfectly sums it up: “Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”
From April Fool's Joke to Gaming Genre?
Who would have guessed? What began as an April Fool's Day joke in 2014 has evolved into a full-blown phenomenon. From PCs and consoles to mobile platforms (iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade), the goat-themed game has somehow managed to stay relevant for years.
And now, with Goat Simulator 3 continuing the absurd legacy, a card game joins the ever-expanding Goat Simulator universe. Until then, you can experience the goat-tastic fun on the Google Play Store.
