The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone might have ways to accelerate their progress. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens in Black Ops 6. These were quickly used to boost XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a November 15th update addressed this, disabling the direct activation of Legacy XP Tokens within the Black Ops 6 UI, according to the Call of Duty Blog.
These Legacy XP Tokens are unused tokens carried over from previous COD titles accessed through the COD HQ app, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone. These games offered various ways to earn XP tokens, including (but not limited to) DMZ Missions, Battle Pass Tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. Any tokens acquired through these or other methods remain usable in Warzone. Here's how to use them in Black Ops 6.

Using Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Initially, players could activate their Warzone Legacy XP tokens directly within Black Ops 6 at the Season 01 launch. This is no longer directly possible. However, a workaround existed, enabling players to use these tokens to enhance XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression in Black Ops 6.
The method was relatively simple. If you possessed usable Legacy XP Tokens in Warzone, you activated them there. The token and its timer would then appear in your Black Ops 6 UI. The drawback was the need to switch between game menus, and the XP token timer counted down in real time. Despite this, it provided a faster leveling method in Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
