Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta: New Monsters and Content!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't worry! A second chance to hunt arrives in early February, bringing new features and content. Learn how to participate in this extended beta test.
Hunt a New Monster!
The second Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta is confirmed for the first two weeks of February! Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced this exciting news via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel. This follows the success of the initial beta.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, you'll get to hunt the Gypceros, a familiar foe from the series, a feature absent from the first beta.
Your character data from the first beta can be carried over and later transferred to the full game (February 28th release), though progress won't be saved. Participating rewards include a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm/Seikret charm, and a special bonus item pack for the full game.
Tsujimoto explained the second beta's purpose: "We’ve heard from many that you missed the first beta, or wanted to play again." While recent community updates highlighted planned improvements, these will not be included in this beta phase as they're still under development.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
