Whether you're a seasoned *MySims* player or diving in for the first time with this retro remake, understanding Essences is crucial for crafting successful builds and fulfilling orders for your Sims. These collectible items are the building blocks of creation, used in crafting and to create unique paints. While some, like apples and flowers, are readily gathered, others require specific interactions.
Essences fall into three categories: Emotions, Living Things, and Objects. Each has a thematic element, and collecting the right ones ensures you create items that resonate with your Sims' personalities, keeping them happy. Most can be used as physical objects or to create custom paints in Build Mode.
All MySims Essences and Their Locations
Your *MySims* journey on Nintendo Switch will introduce you to a variety of Essences. Sims often request items containing specific Essences, so knowing where to find them is essential. Note that some Essences unlock as you progress and expand your town.
Town Essences
Your early-game Essence hunting will primarily take place in your town. Areas like the Forest and Desert are locked until you acquire the necessary tools. The Crowbar, needed for prospecting caves, unlocks at a higher town rank.
