Phoenix 2 Upgrades Gameplay with Campaign and Controls

The Android indie shoot'em up, Phoenix 2, just received a massive update brimming with new content and features. Fans of its fast-paced action and strategic gameplay should read on to discover what's new.

What's Included in the Update?

The biggest addition is undoubtedly the new campaign mode. No longer limited to daily missions, players can now immerse themselves in a full-fledged campaign. This campaign boasts 30 meticulously crafted missions, offering a story-driven experience featuring characters from the Phoenix 2 universe.

This campaign provides a fresh and engaging challenge for both veterans and newcomers, offering a welcome change of pace from the daily missions. A visually stunning new Starmap enhances the exploration aspect as players navigate diverse locations and battle invaders.

Another exciting addition is custom player tags. VIP players can now personalize their leaderboard entries with a variety of designs, colors, and information, ensuring their scores stand out. These customized tags remain on the leaderboard permanently.

Controller support is another key feature of this update. Gamers who prefer using a gamepad will find Phoenix 2 fully compatible with modern controllers.

Interface Improvements

Speedrunners and competitive players will appreciate the new wave progress indicator and timer added to missions, providing crucial real-time feedback during intense gameplay.

Beyond these major additions, several smaller tweaks and bug fixes have been implemented, including updated character portraits. Download Phoenix 2 from the Google Play Store, select your ship, and dive into the action!
