Niantic announces major Pokemon Go event in Sao Paulo, Brazil! At gamescom latam 2024, Niantic revealed exciting news for Brazilian Pokemon Go players: a large-scale event in Sao Paulo this December. Further details are promised soon, but expect a city-wide takeover!

The announcement, presented by Alan Madujano (Head of Operations, LATAM), Eric Araki (Country Manager, Brazil), and Leonardo Willie (Community Manager, Emerging Markets), highlighted Pokemon Go's immense popularity in Brazil. The Sao Paulo event, a collaboration with the Civil House of the City of Sao Paulo and local shopping centers, aims to deliver a fun and safe experience for all.

Beyond the December event, Niantic is expanding the Pokemon Go experience across Brazil by partnering with city governments to add more PokeStops and Gyms nationwide.
