First pre-alpha gameplay footage of Fable

A surprise early gameplay reveal of the next Fable installment dropped during the Official Xbox Podcast. The footage offers glimpses into diverse game world locations, the combat system, a variety of enemies, and even a brief cutscene. Naturally, the iconic chicken kick makes a triumphant return.

Previously, the head of Xbox Game Studios confirmed a delay for Fable, pushing its release from 2025 to 2026. The reason given was the need for further polishing and refinement.

Announced on July 23, 2020, the reboot of this beloved series has remained shrouded in secrecy. Three years later, it's evident Fable is still in its early development stages.

The need for assistance from Eidos Montreal, alongside the prolonged absence of polished gameplay footage, strongly suggests the game faces considerable challenges.
