The cult-classic mobile game, 868-Hack, is poised for a comeback with a new crowdfunding campaign for its sequel, 868-Back. This roguelike digital dungeon crawler lets players experience the thrill of hacking cyberpunk mainframes.
Cyber warfare often falls short of its cool image, but 868-Hack successfully captures the essence of hacking. Similar to the acclaimed PC game Uplink, it cleverly balances complexity and accessibility, making the intricate process of hacking feel both intuitive and challenging. The original 868-Hack impressively delivered on its premise, and its sequel promises even more.
868-Back expands on the original's formula, featuring a larger world to explore, revamped and enhanced "Progs" (programming sequences), and upgraded visuals and sound. Players will once again chain together Progs to execute complex actions, mirroring real-world programming.
