Path of Exile 2 boasts a wealth of quests, but some, like the five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3, are surprisingly unassuming. These items are classified as Quest Items, yet they function differently than typical quest items. Unlike most, finding a Golden Idol doesn't trigger a new quest entry in your log. Instead of advancing a specific questline, these idols offer a unique reward: a substantial gold payout.

Locating the Golden Idols

Your journey begins in Act 3, after exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment. A portal transports you to Utzaal, the Vaal city in its prime, a striking contrast to its present-day ruined state. Within Utzaal and the connected area Aggorat, these valuable idols await discovery. They're not dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often tucked away in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Discoveries
