Rainbow Six Siege X, which is currently in a closed beta phase, is set to launch widely in June 2025 for both console and PC players. Ubisoft touts this update as the most significant content overhaul in Rainbow Six Siege's history. A key feature introduced in the closed beta is the Dual Front game mode, which pits teams of six against each other in more expansive and chaotic battles.

In Dual Front mode, larger maps challenge teams to strategize on attack and defense areas, completing objectives across different zones as they encounter the opposing team. Siege X also promises to revamp several existing maps, enhance the user interface, improve technical aspects, and introduce a rebalanced online matchmaking system aimed at assisting new players.

Rainbow Six Siege X Trailer

Ubisoft unveiled a gameplay trailer for Rainbow Six Siege X on March 13, 2025, coinciding with the start of the closed beta test. The trailer showcases the excitement of the Dual Front mode, highlighting the intensity of 6-on-6 gameplay on a new map. It also hints at enhancements to the game's core mechanics, improved technical visuals, new gameplay features, and special rewards for long-time Rainbow Six Siege players. Additionally, the update will offer free-to-play access, welcoming new players to the game.

The Rainbow Six Siege X closed beta is scheduled from March 13 to March 19, and is accessible to select partner players who will stream their gameplay on Twitch. Viewers of these streams during the beta period have the opportunity to win their own access codes, valid for the six-day duration of the beta. To participate, players must link their Twitch account to their Ubisoft Connect account. Notably, you don't need to own Rainbow Six Siege to join the Siege X closed beta.

Ubisoft has published comprehensive information about the Siege X closed beta and how to gain access on their official website. There are no plans yet for further beta testing, including an open beta closer to the June 2025 full launch. As Rainbow Six Siege takes this bold step forward, it continues Ubisoft's legacy of games inspired by Tom Clancy's works, promising an exciting evolution with Siege X.
