Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, featuring the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This is one of the most competitive prices available for a prebuilt system equipped with an RTX 5080 GPU, especially considering the upward price trend of other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the only other option with this GPU exceeds $4,000. If you're considering building your own PC, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU at a reasonable price—you might end up spending as much on just the GPU as you would on this entire system.

$2,399.99 at Alienware
This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes packed with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The current-gen Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU boasts a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It's cooled by a robust 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the entire system is powered by a generously equipped 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is one of three new Blackwell graphics cards that have hit the market (and are incredibly hard to find). In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be the upgrade you're looking for—it doesn’t offer a significant performance lead over the RTX 4080, though the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers with older GPUs looking for a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 delivers, especially if you're eager to utilize Nvidia’s AI enhancements."

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis retains a similar aesthetic to the 2024 R16 model but features minor redesigns in cooling and aesthetics, along with updated components. The I/O panel is now located at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window spans the entire side panel, eliminating side vents. Air intakes are positioned at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. The internal components have been refreshed with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest generation of CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere
The initial wave of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to be released, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs equipped with these new GPUs are either out of stock, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
