Today marks the global launch of Alphadia III on Android, the latest installment in the acclaimed Alphadia series. Brought to you by publisher KEMCO and developer EXE CREATE, this game first hit the Japanese market in October of last year.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
Set in the Alphadian Year 970, Alphadia III immerses players in the climactic stages of the Energi War, a colossal struggle over a vital life force known as energi. The world is divided into three major factions: the Schwarzschild Empire to the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom to the west, and the Luminea Alliance to the east, each vying for control.
As the conflict reaches a critical point, enter Alfonso, a clone soldier whose life takes a dramatic turn following a visit from a girl named Tarte. She brings news of a fellow clone's death, sparking a pivotal moment that sets Alfonso on a new path.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
Alphadia III retains the beloved turn-based combat system viewed from the side, all rendered in a nostalgic pixel art style. Players can leverage SP Skills, which charge during battles and can shift the tide of combat when deployed strategically.
The game introduces Arrays, tactical battle formations that unlock as you progress, offering varied strategies to tackle different enemies. A novel feature, the Energi Crock, allows players to convert surplus items into Energi Elements over time, which can then be exchanged for equipment or other rewards at in-game shops.
Throughout your journey, you'll encounter various factions such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite Nordsheim military unit Rosenkreutz. You'll also come across different energi clone models, including the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild.
In addition to the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content and is optimized for controller use. You can purchase the full version on the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version on Android, which includes ads.
