Aniimo Unveils New Creature Collector Trailer at TGS 2025

Author : Sebastian Update:Feb 21,2026

  • Aniimo has unveiled a feature-packed new trailer for Tokyo Game Show 2025
  • Get another look at the titular Aniimos, Helmut and Stellarys, in action
  • Pre-registration is now open ahead of the multiplatform release expected in 2026

Since Palworld opened the floodgates, we've seen an increasing number of releases exploring the creature collection genre. While these games existed before (remember Yokai Watch?), they're now far more prominent. However, the most memorable titles are often those that put a unique spin on the formula, which is exactly what Aniimo does!

You might recall our earlier coverage of Aniimo this year. With Tokyo Game Show in full swing, we have a brand-new trailer to enjoy! As a Pathfinder, you'll explore the magical world of Aniimo and interact with its inhabitants. The core concept is that instead of just collecting the various Pokémon-like creatures, you can also merge with them and take control.

The TGS trailer doesn't reveal much we haven't seen before, but it does provide a more detailed look at some of the Aniimos and their abilities. Highlights include Stellarys, who can manipulate the weather, and the helmet-wearing Helmut!

Aniimo is set to launch on mobile (with pre-registration now available on the official site), Xbox X|S, and PC. In my opinion, it's shaping up to be a dark horse in the genre. While the new wave of creature collectors hasn't produced a Pokémon-level hit yet, Aniimo is pulling out all the stops to change that.

From its polished visuals to the unique abilities of each Aniimo, this is definitely a title to keep an eye on ahead of its anticipated 2026 launch.
