Apex Legends is struggling. Recent issues, including rampant cheating, persistent bugs, and an unpopular new battle pass, have driven players away. This is reflected in a significant and sustained decline in peak concurrent players, mirroring the stagnation Overwatch experienced.

The problems are multifaceted. Limited Time Events offer minimal new content beyond cosmetic items.
