Apex Legends keeps falling down in concurrent player count

Apex Legends is struggling. Recent issues, including rampant cheating, persistent bugs, and an unpopular new battle pass, have driven players away. This is reflected in a significant and sustained decline in peak concurrent players, mirroring the stagnation Overwatch experienced.

The problems are multifaceted. Limited Time Events offer minimal new content beyond cosmetic items. Cheating remains a major issue, matchmaking is inconsistent, and a lack of gameplay variety is pushing players to competing titles like the newly released Marvel Heroes and the ever-popular Fortnite.

Respawn Entertainment faces a serious challenge. Player attrition continues, and decisive action is needed to reverse the trend. The future of Apex Legends hinges on their ability to address these core issues and deliver substantial new content to reignite player interest.
