Neowiz and Gamfs N have just unleashed the first content update for BrownDust2 following its 1.5-year anniversary celebration in December. Dubbed Onsen Training, this update brings a sizzling mix of excitement and challenges to the game.
Onsen Training transports players to a Japanese winter hot spring, where they can engage in thrilling swordfighting battles and face various BrownDust2-style challenges. And yes, there's a dash of monkey mischief that adds a humorous and wild twist to the experience.
BrownDust2 Is Ready for an Onsen Training
The update introduces three new characters to the mix. Ventana, the protagonist of the story, along with Liberta, are now playable through the pickup draw. Meanwhile, Blade remains a narrative-exclusive character.
Set in the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden’s Gate of BrownDust2, the Onsen Training event features a total of 30 battles, split between 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.
The adventure kicks off with Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, who has recently suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of a new student, Justia. Determined to restore her honor, Ventana embarks on a journey to a snowy mountain hot spring, rumored to boost physical strength. However, her training plans are thrown into chaos when she encounters the mischievous Snowy Mountain Monkeys.
Rescued by Blade, a legendary graduate of the Kendo Club, Ventana's request for swordsmanship training is swiftly rejected. Enter Liberta, the hot spring manager, who promises to assist Ventana in winning over Blade's mentorship.
There’s a New Mini-Game
Introducing Onsen Tile Tactics, a new mini-game where players race against time to clear tiles. The event story unfolds in phases, beginning with Legendary Graduate in the first week and culminating in Beyond Legend in the third week.
Players will also confront both returning and new bosses. The first week sees the return of Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter boss, while the third week introduces the fiery Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a colossal monkey that becomes stronger when targeting enemies with Damage over Time (DoT) effects.
Additionally, the Guild Raid boss, Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut. With no elemental properties, Rucersingha unleashes devastating attacks and requires a significant number of chain stacks to defeat.
The update also brings new gear and costumes for players to collect. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, available until February 13th.
Download BrownDust2 from the Google Play Store and join Ventana on her Onsen Training journey.
