Bullseye in Marvel Snap: To Snap or Not?

Author : Joshua Update:May 19,2025

Introducing Bullseye, the quintessential comic book villain who's both timeless and a tad outdated. In a world filled with flamboyant, gimmick-driven characters, Bullseye stands out as a classic. He's the epitome of evil, dressed in a costume that's both menacing and memorable, embodying the perfect blend of sadism and skill.

Bullseye's Abilities and Background

Bullseye is a ruthless, sadistic psychopath whose real name remains a mystery, possibly Benjamin Poindexter or Lester. Unlike many superheroes, his powers stem from sheer human talent, not a superhuman gene. In the Marvel Universe, his "peak human" status allows him to transform everyday objects like throwing knives, pens, paperclips, or his signature razor playing cards into deadly weapons.

Bullseye's Role in Marvel Comics

Bullseye's simplicity is his strength; he's a hired mercenary whose dangerous skills far outweigh his costume's absurdity. Throughout the Marvel Universe, he's left a trail of victims, including the iconic Elektra. As part of the Dark Avengers, he impersonated Hawkeye and continued his deadly spree. His intelligence and precision make killing a profitable business for him.

Bullseye in SNAP

In SNAP, Bullseye's deadly accuracy is captured through his unique ability. He uses your weakest cards (no more than 1-Cost!) to reduce your opponent's cards by -2 Power, hitting different targets with precision. His "Activate" ability lets you discard your hand at the most strategic moment, enhancing his sadistic flair.

Bullseye synergizes perfectly with Discard decks, enhancing cards like Scorn or Swarm. While Daken might not be the best target for his effect, Bullseye still serves as a controlled discard option, boosting cards like Morbius or Miek. His ability to discard multiple cards can amplify plays like MODOK/Swarm, supercharging your strategy.

However, be wary of Bullseye's weaknesses. Luke Cage can neutralize his threat entirely, and Red Guardian can disrupt your carefully planned Discard turns. Plan your strategy wisely to maximize Bullseye's potential.

Bullseye Decks on Day One

Bullseye finds his natural home in classic Discard decks, synergizing with Scorn and Swarm to add redundancy and power to your engine. Focusing on Swarm, you can leverage cards like Collector, Victoria Hand, and Moonstone to capitalize on Bullseye's massive discard turns.

Gambit's inclusion, with his ability to throw playing cards, complements Bullseye's theme and provides a powerful swing in challenging games. For a more ambitious approach, Bullseye can enhance Daken's doubling effect, adding control and redundancy to discard the Muramasa Shard and potentially streamline your combo.

Verdict

Bullseye might be challenging to integrate into SNAP decks due to his specific "Activate" requirement and limited use. However, his flashy effect and synergy with Discard strategies, especially around Swarm and Scorn, suggest he can be a game-changer. Careful deck-building and strategic play will be key to unlocking Bullseye's full potential in SNAP.
