Previously handled by ByteDance, these games are now being taken over by Skystone Games, which will release new region-specific versions tailored for American audiences.
This change comes on the heels of the much-discussed TikTok ban earlier this year, which saw ByteDance voluntarily offline the app. However, the ripple effect was felt strongly in the mobile gaming sector, where games like Marvel Snap and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang were abruptly removed from app stores. This move was part of a broader political push to compel ByteDance to divest from its social media platform, TikTok.
While TikTok has since been restored, the same cannot be said for all the affected games. Marvel Snap, for instance, quickly announced its search for a new publisher and found one in Skystone Games.
