Civilization 7 Post-Release Roadmap Unveiled

Author : Elijah Update:May 22,2025

The much-anticipated first DLC for *Civilization VII*, named "Crossroads of the World," is set to roll out in two exciting installments this March. In the first stage, players will step into the shoes of both Great Britain and Carthage, guided by the innovative Ada Lovelace, a computer pioneer who emerges as a new leader. Just three weeks after the initial release, the second phase will introduce Simon Bolivar as a leader, alongside the new civilizations of Bulgaria and Nepal.

Looking further ahead, the "Right to Rule" DLC is slated for release sometime between April and September 2025. This update promises to enrich the game with two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and captivating natural wonders, further expanding the *Civilization VII* universe.

Firaxis Games is committed to enhancing the *Civilization VII* experience through continuous updates. In March, players can look forward to new in-game events and the introduction of awe-inspiring natural wonders such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.

*Civilization VII* will be available across a wide array of platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Deluxe and Founders Edition owners will enjoy early access starting February 6, five days before the official release. On launch day, a zero-day patch will be deployed to ensure a smooth start for all players.

Developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K, *Civilization VII* marks another milestone in the legendary turn-based 4X strategy series created by Sid Meier. With the game having reached the gold standard, its main development is complete, signaling no further delays in its eagerly awaited release, unless unforeseen issues arise.

The latest chapter in this iconic series is set to launch on February 11, and Steam Deck has confirmed that *Civilization VII* will be playable on all modern gaming platforms.
