Revue Starlight Re LIVE is officially shutting down. The mobile game, based on the popular anime, will cease operation on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC. This marks the end of nearly six years on Android.
Why the Shutdown?
While initially a promising extension of the Revue Starlight anime, the game's performance faltered over time. Factors contributing to its closure include repetitive events, reused assets, and expensive battle passes. Storyline inconsistencies, such as the abrupt character shift from The Giraffe, further hampered player engagement. The server closure is global, impacting players worldwide.
Despite its shortcomings, Revue Starlight Re LIVE offered a positive soundtrack featuring anime music and impressive 3D graphics with Live2D animations.
A Final Farewell?
Although the game's lifespan is nearing its end, players still have a few weeks to enjoy remaining content. Developers are launching several farewell campaigns in August and September, including a "Thank You For Everything" campaign offering ten free pulls daily and a two-month birthday celebration with "New Stage Girl Gacha" events at the start of each month. Download the game from the Google Play Store to participate in the final events.
