Gem crafting in Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a straightforward yet strategic process that utilizes Pyroxene, a key resource found throughout the game. You can craft gems at any Inn or tent by selecting the "Create Gems" option in your room. Here's how it works:
Crafting Basics: Each Pyroxene you use crafts one gem at a one-to-one ratio. There are five types of gems you can craft, and each Pyroxene has an equal chance of producing any of them.
Leveling Up Gems: Once you craft a base gem, it starts at level 1 and can be equipped via the Battle Preparations menu. Every subsequent gem of the same type you craft will contribute XP to the base gem, increasing its level and effectiveness.
Mass Crafting: If you're not particular about which gems you get, using all your Pyroxene at once can be beneficial. This method allows you to craft multiple gems and level them up randomly across the board.
Targeted Crafting: For those who prefer specific gems, you can attempt to activate the "Eyes of the Sacred Bird" effect. This occurs randomly when crafting a single gem and limits the types of gems that can be crafted with subsequent Pyroxene. You can re-enter the crafting menu to cancel this effect if it's not what you want. While this method can be tedious, it increases your chances of getting the gem you desire.
Eyes of the Sacred Bird: This feature helps reduce the randomness of gem crafting but doesn't eliminate it entirely.

Where To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Pyroxene, essential for gem crafting, can be found scattered across the game's overworld as orange crystals protruding from the ground. Interacting with these crystals will yield one Pyroxene, after which the crystal will disappear.
Respawn Mechanics: After completing Skirmishes or Battles, some Pyroxene crystals will respawn on the overworld map. This encourages you to revisit and explore previously cleared areas, as new Pyroxene will continually appear.
Additional Sources: Occasionally, you can also receive Pyroxene from letters, which you can read in your room at an Inn or tent.
