Disco Elysium Mobile Version Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

Author : Emery Update:Mar 28,2025

Following the announcement of their new project, Project C4, ZA/UM has unveiled plans for an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This version will be exclusive to Android devices and aims to introduce the game to a new audience while providing current fans with a convenient, on-the-go gaming experience. To encourage wider accessibility, ZA/UM will offer the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free on mobile. Players can then opt to purchase the full game, which will be ad-free, ensuring a seamless gaming experience.

ZA/UM emphasizes its commitment to both the creation and stewardship of the Disco Elysium IP. “We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase,” the studio stated, highlighting their dedication to maintaining the integrity and quality of the game across platforms.

Studio head Denis Havel shared that the mobile version of Disco Elysium is designed to appeal to the TikTok audience. “We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment,” Havel explained. This approach aims to deliver the game's rich narrative in bite-sized, yet impactful, segments.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new, immersive 360-degree scenes tailored for mobile users, placing them directly into the heart of Revachol. The mobile version also features brand new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the game's already deep character interactions.

This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium and designed to completely cater to the habits of today’s mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as “what audiobooks wish they were,” designed to be enjoyed in short bursts, making it perfect for players on the move.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note that while the studio name remains ZA/UM, many of the original team members who developed the game have since left. Some of these former members are now working on spiritual successors to Disco Elysium.
