Bethesda and id Software have unveiled an exciting new demonstration of DOOM: The Dark Ages during the Xbox showcase, confirming the much-anticipated release date of May 15. This latest installment in the iconic DOOM series transports players back to the Medieval era, promising a fresh take on the gameplay that fans have come to love.
In DOOM: The Dark Ages, players will embody the essence of a relentless "killing machine" and a formidable tank. Unlike its predecessor, DOOM: Eternal, this game shifts the focus away from constant jumping and parkour. Instead, players will engage more with ground-based combat, utilizing an expansive arsenal to obliterate demons.
Key to this demon-slaying adventure are new tools such as a shield and a mace, which will be pivotal in your arsenal. For the first time in the series, players can command a giant mech to battle slightly smaller demons, adding a thrilling new dimension to the combat.
