Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, sparking excitement even before any official announcement that the fighting game will be available on the new console. While we still await confirmation from the developers, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, shared by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, has seemingly confirmed the game's arrival on the Switch 2.
"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before its removal, also noting that it had secured a 12+ rating.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, featuring "an incredible number" of playable characters, each with their own signature abilities, transformations, and techniques.
In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, describing it as "a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. The pre-orders were met with high demand, as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who applied for a Switch 2 pre-order from the My Nintendo Store, indicating that release date delivery could not be guaranteed due to overwhelming interest.
