Like A Dragon (LAD) is set to mark its monumental 20th anniversary this December (2025). To kick off the festivities, Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio has launched an exclusive fan-driven merchandise voting campaign that allows players to choose which in-game items they’d like to see turned into real-world collectibles.
A total of 100 unique items are available for voting—ranging from novelty pieces like lingerie, incense, mahjong tiles, karaoke microphones, and luxury lighters to themed sake bottles, commemorative pillows, and even Kiryu’s iconic dragon mask. These items reflect the series’ memorable moments and quirky sense of humor.
According to RGG’s official project page, the top-voted item will be officially produced and released within two years. The voting window opened on February 8, 2025, and runs through March 21, 2025. Each participant may cast their vote once per day. After the results are finalized, a follow-up survey will help shape the design direction of the winning product.

The celebration officially begins with the release of Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 20, 2025. Beyond that, Yokoyama teased a lineup of upcoming events and announcements planned for the anniversary year, including the already active merchandise voting project.
However, no further details have been revealed since the initial announcement. Looking back at the franchise’s 10th anniversary offers some clues—RGG surprised fans with remakes such as Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami. Given that the title is also launching on previous-generation consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the PC version won’t demand high-end hardware. Additionally, the game is Steam Deck verified, ensuring a seamless experience for handheld gamers.
SEGA recently published the game’s story trailer on YouTube, offering a cinematic preview of Majima’s wild adventure across the open seas. The narrative is narrated by Pirate King Raymond Law, portrayed by wrestling legend Samoa Joe.
