Ever played The Simpsons: Tapped Out, the city-building mobile game by EA (Electronic Arts)? It's been a beloved title for twelve years, launching in 2012 on Apple's App Store and in 2013 on Google Play. Unfortunately, EA has announced that they will be sunsetting the game.
When Is It Shutting Down?
In-app purchases have already been disabled for The Simpsons: Tapped Out. Starting October 31st, 2024, the game will no longer be available for download. However, if you want to continue playing as long as possible, you can keep enjoying the game until January 24th, 2025, when the servers will officially go offline.
The sunset announcement included a heartfelt thank you from EA to all the game's players. The partnership with The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company allowed players to build their own versions of Springfield for over a decade.

From Homer's chaotic rebuilding efforts to Marge, Lisa, and even Bart getting back on track, you craft Springfield exactly how you want. You can interact with characters like Fat Tony and dress up Bart as Daredevil Bart. Expand the town to Springfield Heights and even manage the Kwik-E-Mart like Apu.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a freemium game that frequently updated with content tied to the show's storylines and real-life holiday events. While the game itself is free to download, donuts are the key to unlocking additional fun.
