Star Wars Celebration unveiled thrilling updates for the upcoming *The Mandalorian and Grogu*-themed expansion coming to *Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run*. This update, set to launch on May 22, 2026, will introduce new elements to the attraction, including the ability for Engineers to care for Grogu and the addition of Coruscant as a visitable planet alongside Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor. The storyline promises a choose-your-own-adventure experience, intertwining with the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu but diverging from the plot of the new *The Mandalorian & Grogu* movie.
The narrative kicks off with Hondo Ohnaka learning of a covert deal on Tatooine between former Imperial officers and pirates. This sets the stage for an exhilarating chase across the galaxy, where guests will join forces with Mando and Grogu to pursue the bounty in a dynamic, galaxy-spanning adventure.

While full details remain under wraps, it's clear that Engineers will play a more significant role in this update, as they'll be entrusted with the care of Grogu. This adds an exciting new layer to the experience.
Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama provided further insights into what fans can anticipate. "Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually get to communicate with Grogu," Kalama shared. "So, we think it's going to be a ton of fun. There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest and Grogu, left to his own devices, might get a little happy on the control panel. So, we love the idea of there being these fun little vignettes and moments where you're sort of on the comm with Grogu."
Kalama also elaborated on the choose-your-own-adventure aspect, explaining, "There will be a critical moment in your adventure where you are strapped for time and have to make a lightning-quick decision about which of our particular bounties we want to pursue. And that's going to be the sort of inciting incident that allows us to decide which are the different destinations we go to."
