Escape Academy is the Epic Games Store's free game offering for January 16th, 2025. This escape-room style puzzle game is the fourth free title offered by the EGS in 2025 and boasts the highest OpenCritic score of any EGS freebie so far this year.

Epic Games Store users have a week, until January 23rd, to claim their free copy of Escape Academy. Developed by Coin Crew Games, this title, initially released in July 2022, challenges players to hone their escape room skills as students at the titular academy.

This isn't Escape Academy's first appearance as a free EGS game; it was previously offered on January 1st, 2024. However, this giveaway marks the first time it's been available for a full week. The timing is particularly beneficial for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as the game is leaving the service on January 15th after an 18-month run.
