Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

Author : Daniel Update:May 04,2025

In the gripping co-operative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your primary mission is to retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of monsters that unpredictably spawn in various locations. Successfully escaping with your loot not only grants you the satisfaction of outsmarting the game's menacing AI, the Taxman, but also rewards you with hard-earned cash to spend on essential survival gear.

To secure your valuable items, you must reach the Extraction Point where your C.A.R.T. of treasures is evaluated, and the Taxman permits you to proceed to the Service Station—ideally, with plenty of cash to bolster your arsenal and supplies.

As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, mastering the extraction process becomes routine. What might initially appear daunting soon transforms into second nature as you overcome more challenging levels and fearsome creatures.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

During your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter just one Extraction Point. However, as you advance to new locations, the number of Extraction Points increases, with a maximum of four available. You can monitor your progress by checking the red number in the right-hand corner of the screen, which indicates both the total number of drop-offs required and those already completed.

At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, a constant you can rely on for your initial haul of valuables. Subsequent Extraction Points, however, introduce more complexity.

After depositing your first C.A.R.T.-full, continue navigating the level as usual, but be aware that you won't know the Taxman's demands or the locations of further Extraction Points until you're in their vicinity. Here, your in-game map becomes an invaluable tool. By pressing “Tab” on your keyboard, you can view unexplored areas, aiding in route planning and, if playing with others, allowing your team to spread out and cover more ground simultaneously.

You'll discover the next Extraction Point either visually or through auditory cues upon reaching its area. Once located, press the prominent red button to determine if you've gathered enough valuables. If you have met the requirement, place your C.A.R.T. within the designated grey area to ensure no items are destroyed.

After completing an Extraction Point, depending on how many remain, you'll either proceed to the next one by repeating the steps above or focus on safely returning to your truck. Notably, after the final Extraction Point is cleared and your valuables counted, there's no need to bring the C.A.R.T. back to the truck; a new one will spawn at the start of the next level or location.

Now that you're well-versed in extracting items in *R.E.P.O.*, be sure to explore our other guides for more tips and strategies to enhance your gameplay experience.
