Fantasian Neo Dimension: Mastering the Tachyon Medal
Fantasian Neo Dimension plunges players into a visually stunning world where Leo and his companions strive to thwart Jas's "Zero" plan, a catastrophic threat to existence itself. The game's captivating narrative and unique mechanics keep players engaged throughout the escalating conflict.
The Tachyon Medal is a crucial late-game item integral to a challenging and extensive JRPG side quest. Obtaining it is just the first step; its true purpose unfolds later. This guide details how to acquire and utilize the Tachyon Medal.
Locating the Tachyon Medal
The Tachyon Medal's existence is first hinted at in Shangri-La and represents the final item acquired before confronting the final boss. To obtain it, advance through the main storyline until reaching Sanctum, situated in the God Realm via the Communication Network. Within the Mirror of Order, you'll face God's Predator, a formidable but conquerable boss. Be prepared; it frequently summons allies and employs a devastating "Consume" attack, reducing your health by 90%. Kina's healing abilities are essential here, and equipping Petrification Null gear significantly eases the encounter.
Leo's Fire Samidare +2 proves effective against summoned enemies. Cherryl, with her potent Concentrate and Charge attacks, is also a valuable asset.
After defeating God's Predator, proceed to the Laboratory via the Balcony. Amidst the rubble, locate a chest on your right—it holds the Tachyon Medal.
Utilizing the Tachyon Medal
Activating the Tachyon Medal requires two prerequisites: reaching the Altar in Shangri-La and completing the Cinderella Tri-Stars side quest. The Cinderella Tri-Stars appear in eight locations, the first two being part of the main story:
- En New District
- Midi Toy Box - Secret Room
- Royal Capital - Main Street
- Frozen Tundra - Center
- Hidden Valley – Duet Path
- Ancient Hill – River
- Nameless Island – Depths
- Shangri-La – Fallen City
Defeat these bosses in the specified order. After the final defeat in Shangri-La, three chests below the Altar become accessible; one contains the Holy Belt (All Ailment Null).
Opening all three chests reveals a glowing door, prompting you to use the Tachyon Medal to rewind time. Possessing the Medal initiates NG+ from this point, carrying over levels, items, and equipment. While enemies are enhanced, this shouldn't pose significant difficulty, especially for players who completed all side quests beforehand. Using the Tachyon Medal unlocks the Time Reverse Trophy/Achievement, allowing you to restart your quest to save the Human Realm.
