Get ready for an exciting month in *Pokémon GO* with February 2025's event lineup, featuring the Lunar New Year celebration, a Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet, and the debut of Dynamax Moltres. Here's a detailed look at all the events scheduled for this month.
Lunar New Year Event: January 29 – February 2
The Lunar New Year 2025 event, celebrating the Year of the Snake, runs until February 2 at 08:00 PM local time. This event enhances the Pokémon GO experience by increasing the spawn rates of snake-themed Pokémon such as Ekans, Onix, Snivy, Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini, all of which can be found in their Shiny forms.
In addition to boosted spawns, the event offers bonuses like an increased chance of obtaining Lucky Pokémon through trades and becoming Lucky Friends with other Trainers. Players can also participate in daily Field Research tasks to earn free PokéCoins. The 2KM Egg pool during the event will hatch Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi, all of which have the potential to be Shiny.
Legendary Flight Dynamax Moltres Event: February 3 – 9
From February 3 to 9, Pokémon GO players can encounter Dynamax Moltres as part of the ongoing Legendary Flight event. On February 3 from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM, Moltres will be available as a Max Monday boss at all Power Spots. After this initial hour, Moltres will remain available but at fewer locations, sharing the spotlight with Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble until February 10. Players will need to explore their local areas to find this legendary firebird.
Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9
On February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host a dual Community Day for Karrablast and Shelmet. This event offers increased encounters, evolution bonuses, and a higher chance of encountering Shiny versions of these Pokémon. Evolving Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM will grant you an Escavalier with the Charged Attack Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively. For an easier grind, players can purchase premium Timed Research for US$2.00 or the equivalent in local currency.
Beloved Buddies: February 11 – 15
A new event, Beloved Buddies, is set to start on February 11 at 10:00 AM and run until February 15 at 08:00 PM local time. Details are yet to be announced, but we'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
