Unlocking the FFXIV Free Company Submarine: A Deep Dive

Want to explore the underwater world of Final Fantasy XIV in style? The Free Company (FC) submarine offers a unique way to do just that, starting with the Stormblood expansion. This guide outlines everything you need to know to acquire and utilize your FC's very own submersible.

Getting Your FC Submarine

First, ensure your Free Company is established in FFXIV. Ideally, reach rank 6; this unlocks access to the vendors selling the essential Ceruleum Tanks. Reaching rank 6 is relatively straightforward – encourage FC members to participate in various in-game activities like dungeon runs, leveling, crafting, and gathering.

Once at rank 6, navigate to your FC house's Company Workshop and interact with the schematic board to obtain the submersible blueprint. Gather the necessary materials, and the submersible will be added to your FC's crafting log, ready for construction.

However, the journey doesn't end there. You'll also need Dive Credits to embark on underwater voyages. These are purchased from Resident Caretaker NPCs in the following housing districts:

Empyreum: X:10, Y:12
Lavender Beds: X:12, Y:8
The Mist: X:11, Y:11
Shirogane: X:10, Y:14
The Goblet: X:11, Y:10

Remember, FC rank 6 is required, and each Dive Credit costs 10,000 Company Credits. After acquiring your Dive Credits, register the submersible via the voyage control panel within the Company Workshop.
