In the gripping world of Freedom Wars Remastered, players often find themselves navigating the intricate corridors of holding cells and The Warren within the Panopticon. Yet, the real challenge lies in confronting the towering Abductors, formidable foes that demand strategic combat to defeat. To gain an advantage in these intense battles, Freedom Wars Remastered equips players with an extensive array of weapons and items. Among these, the Flare Knife stands out as a crucial tool for turning the tide against these powerful adversaries. Below, we delve into how players can acquire and effectively utilize the Flare Knife in their fight against the Abductors.
How To Get Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
Acquiring the Flare Knife is a straightforward process that players can undertake early in their journey through Freedom Wars Remastered. Upon reaching Level 003 Code Clearance, head to Zakka in The Warren. This vendor offers a diverse selection of weapons and combat items, including the Flare Knife, available for purchase at 3,000 Entitlement Points.
To prepare for battle, access the Loadout menu within the Personal Responsibility Portal. Here, you can select an available slot under Combat Items. If you have the Flare Knife in your inventory, it will be listed, ready for you to equip and bring into your next Operation.
How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is described as a reusable combat tool specifically designed for severing Abductor parts. This feature is particularly beneficial for players who favor Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons, as it allows them to effectively dismember Abductor limbs without switching to Light Melee weapons. However, it's important to note that the Flare Knife is a one-time-use item per Operation, necessitating a repurchase for subsequent battles.
To employ the Flare Knife effectively, target a severable part of the Abductor and use your Thorn to pull yourself towards it. With the Flare Knife equipped in your active slot, you'll be prompted to initiate the severing process. This action leads to a quick-time event (QTE) where you must rapidly press a designated button to deplete a severing bar. Success in this QTE will result in the part being severed. Be vigilant, as the Abductor may attempt to disrupt your efforts by leaping or crashing into walls.
In cooperative play, coordinating with friends to repeatedly snare the Abductor can significantly simplify the severing process, enhancing your team's effectiveness in battle.
