As summer approaches, Pokémon Go is ramping up the excitement with a major announcement set to debut at the upcoming Pokémon Go Fest this June in Jersey City. Among the most anticipated reveals are the brand-new Crowned Forms of Zacian and Zamazenta—two fan-favorite Legendary Pokémon that are ready to shake up the battle scene like never before.
These newly introduced forms, known as Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta, will utilize unique energy types called Crowned Sword Energy and Crowned Shield Energy. Trainers can collect these special resources to transform Zacian and Zamazenta into their powerful new forms, unlocking a whole new level of strength and versatility.
Max Battles Ready
What makes these transformations even more exciting is that both Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta can be used in Max Battles—despite normally being unable to Dynamax or Gigantamax. This opens the door for high-impact battles where their signature moves, Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash, shine in combat, making them top-tier contenders in competitive play.
First Encounters at Go Fest
The Pokémon Go Fest events in Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris will be the first locations where players can encounter Zacian and Zamazenta in five-star raids. Following their festival debut, they will eventually become available to the wider player base. Attendees will also have the exclusive opportunity to challenge and capture the Crowned Forms themselves, making participation especially rewarding.
