Fortnite's Getaway: Limited Time Mode Guide

Author : Alexander Update:Apr 14,2025

Fortnite

If you're a *Fortnite* fan, you'll be thrilled to know that The Getaway, a thrilling Limited Time Mode, has made a comeback in Chapter 6 Season 2, following its initial introduction in Chapter 1 Season 5. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to dive into The Getaway and how long you have to enjoy this adrenaline-pumping mode.

Playing The Getaway in Fortnite

Jumping into The Getaway in *Fortnite* is a breeze. No matter your platform, just launch the game, head to the Lobby, and click on Discover. You should spot The Getaway easily; if not, simply use the search bar in the top left corner of the Lobby, type in "The Getaway," and hit Enter. Once you see it, press the Play button to start queuing up for this exciting mode.

What Is The Getaway?

The Getaway transforms *Fortnite* into a high-stakes heist scenario where your mission is to snag a jewel scattered across the map and make a daring escape in a Getaway Van. This PvP mode pits you against other teams all vying for the same prize. The first three teams to secure a jewel and successfully escape in their van are declared the winners. However, you can also clinch victory by eliminating rival teams along the way. A notable feature this time around is the availability of The Getaway in Zero Build mode, perfect for those who prefer to skip *Fortnite*'s building mechanics. You can enjoy the mode in Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked settings, adding layers of strategy and fun to your gameplay.

The Getaway Start and End Dates

The Getaway is currently live in *Fortnite*, and you have until April 1, at 12 a.m. Eastern Time, to experience all the action it offers. I highly recommend diving into this mode during its availability, as you'll also earn XP that contributes to your Battle Pass progression, making your time in The Getaway doubly rewarding.

That's your complete guide to playing The Getaway in *Fortnite*. For more tips and detailed information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist. Enjoy your heist adventures!
