Why would anyone choose boarding school for their child? Between the peer pressure, loneliness, and inherent elitism, it's a tough sell. And if Expelled! from inkle is anything to go by, you might also have to contend with attempted murder! Set in 1922 at Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls, this game puts you in the shoes of Verity Amersham, a student accused of trying to push a prefect out a window.

In Expelled!, you're given one school day to clear your name. With characters moving and acting independently, the clock is ticking. You can choose to play it straight and uncover the real culprit, frame someone else, or take a more aggressive approach with your trusty hockey stick. The choice is yours!

An Inkleing

Expelled! is highly recommended, and that's before even mentioning Catherine Dellosa's glowing review. Inkle, the creators of my favorite mobile game, 80 Days, and the brilliant murder-themed visual novel Overboard!, have struck gold again. While Verity might seem less sinister than other characters, you can choose to play the game in various ways—from playing it straight to becoming a teenage vigilante. And there's a twist: Verity might not be as innocent as she appears.
