Garena’s blockbuster mobile battle royale Free Fire returns to the global esports stage with a staggering $1 million prize pool at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh. This appearance marks the continuation of a multi-year EWC partnership that guarantees another spectacular tournament in 2026 as well.
The spotlight shines bright this July when 18 of the world's top Free Fire teams battle for championship glory. The tournament kicks off July 16-20 with an initial group phase featuring three groups of six teams each.
After intense group battles, the top twelve squads advance to the high-stakes Point-Rush stage before culminating in the explosive Grand Final using the decisive match point format. Players will also compete for an additional $10,000 MVP award recognizing standout individual performance throughout the event.
Defending champions Team Falcons return following their historic 2024 victory where they became EWC's first Free Fire champions. Despite a sluggish Point-Rush start, they delivered when it mattered most - securing two crucial Booyahs in the finals to claim the trophy and earn their spot at the World Series in Rio.
