Infinity Nikki 1.8: Danqing Season Weaves Ink, Myth into Magic

Infinity Nikki's Version 1.8 introduces the entirely new Danqing Season, weaving together folklore, ink painting aesthetics, and fantasy into a surreal adventure. The season begins on July 30 and concludes on September 2.

Your journey takes you far from the Sea of Stars to a secluded island

The name "Danqing" itself references an ancient Chinese term for the traditional red and blue-green pigments found in classical paintings. This heritage is thoughtfully integrated into every aspect of the new update.

Nikki and Momo discover a mysterious scroll that transports them into an unspoiled realm. Here, mist-shrouded peaks, dense bamboo forests, and placid lakes form a living, breathing landscape full of hidden mysteries. Watch the video below for a glimpse of the Danqing Season in Infinity Nikki.

Despite its stunning beauty, something feels wrong, as the local villagers have started to vanish. A Seer assists Nikki as her guide through this unfamiliar world. Gradually, the island unveils layers of its history and the dangers that lie within.

Between uncovering the main narrative, you can enjoy a variety of relaxing side activities. Engage in a game of Weiqi (Go), navigate winding waterways on a bamboo raft, or apply photo filters that mimic classical Chinese ink-wash painting styles.

The Danqing Season in Infinity Nikki features an annual rite

An artist paints open the eyes of a dormant White Dragon to reawaken its spirit and protect the land. However, it appears its mythical opposite has been disturbed. Awaiting at the island's heart is Inkshade: Painting Loong, a new boss guarding its most ancient secrets.

Clouded Loong is the season's 5-star outfit, granting you the ability to summon a white dragon and soar through the sky. Its design is inspired by the legendary Soaring Loong, a mythical beast representing fortune, wisdom, and celestial power.

Forever Bond, another 5-star outfit, embodies the graceful and spectral nature of a spirit cat, complete with poisonous mist and a haunting makeup effect. A third outfit, Danqing Craft, bestows a unique ability allowing Nikki to restore objects that have been dissolved into ink.
