Gacha game enthusiasts are always keeping a close eye on the financial performance of their favorite titles. The latest figures for January 2025 have just been released, showcasing some intriguing trends in the industry.
Genshin Impact, the hit from miHoYo (HoYoverse), made headlines last month with a significant update featuring the pyro archon and the much-anticipated banner with Mawuika. This update propelled the game to double its revenue from the previous month, soaring to an impressive $99.4 million compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

In the race for the top spots, Pokemon TCG secured second place with earnings of $64 million, while the popular "female gacha" game, Love and Deepspace, rounded out the top three with $55.2 million in revenue.
On the other hand, Honkai Star Rail saw its earnings decrease to $50.8 million, and Zenless Zone Zero experienced a significant drop, with revenues halving from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that these rankings are based solely on mobile platform revenues. Some of these games, particularly those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. Additionally, there's a key nuance in the calculation method: "Since Google Play does not exist in China, the estimates published for Android data in China are determined using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the country."
