How To Join the Baldur’s Gate 3 Stress Test & Try Crossplay

Long awaited by players across PC and consoles, crossplay is finally coming to Baldur's Gate 3 with Patch 8! While a firm release date is pending, a Patch 8 Stress Test will let select players experience crossplay and other new features early in January 2025. This early access helps Larian Studios identify and fix bugs before the wider release.

How to Participate in the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 Stress Test

Want early access? Register for the Patch 8 Stress Test! It's open to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players. Simply complete Larian's Stress Test registration form. You'll need a Larian account—create one or log in if you already have one. The form is quick and requires basic information, including your gaming platform.

Important Note: Registration doesn't guarantee selection. Successful applicants will receive an email with further instructions. Selected players can provide feedback through feedback forms and Discord.

The Stress Test also assesses the impact of Patch 8 on mods. Modders and frequent mod users should consider registering to help ensure compatibility.
