During the IGN Fan Fest on February 27, 2025, South Korean developer Neople unveiled a captivating trailer for The First Berserker: Khazan, showcasing the protagonist engaging in battles with three distinct bosses. The trailer kicked off with Khazan confronting an umbrella-wielding boss, hinting at its significance within the game's narrative as a brief cutscene preceded the fight. Although the HUD was not visible during this battle, it piqued fans' curiosity about this mysterious adversary.

Additionally, the trailer introduced two other formidable foes: Shactuka, a wolf-like beast, and the Specter of Bhangau, a ram-like creature wielding a hammer and spike. These encounters promise a diverse range of challenges for players to overcome.

Possible Awakened Form

A highlight of the trailer was Khazan seemingly entering an awakened form, marked by a striking transformation from his usual samurai-inspired look to a more armored appearance with a red glow. This new form equips Khazan with a variety of enhanced attacks and the ability to wield multiple weapons, significantly boosting his combat prowess.

The trailer showcased Khazan's combat mechanics, including blocking enemy projectiles, executing parries, and unleashing fast-paced combos. However, it also emphasized the game's challenging nature, as Khazan's attacks seemed to have minimal impact on the bosses' health bars, underscoring the game's Souls-like difficulty.

While Neople has not officially confirmed details about this awakened form, the trailer suggests that it will enable Khazan to unleash devastating damage and perform extensive combos with different weapons, adding a thrilling layer to the gameplay.

For those eager to experience The First Berserker: Khazan, a free demo is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, offering the first two missions. The full game is slated for release on March 27, 2025, across these platforms.
