The animation is a collaboration between Mappa Studio (known for Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen) and Sola Entertainment (known for Tower of God). What Is Lazarus About?

Lazarus is a groundbreaking original anime, not based on any manga, offering viewers a fresh narrative. Set in 2052, a time of global peace and prosperity, the world has been transformed by Hapuna, a miracle drug developed by Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner. However, three years later, Dr. Skinner reveals that Hapuna has a fatal flaw: everyone who has taken it will die within three years. To combat this impending doom, a team of five international agents, known as Lazarus, is assembled to find Skinner and develop a vaccine before it's too late.
