LEGO has unveiled nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, as part of Disney's extensive celebration of May the 4th—also known as Star Wars Day. LEGO traditionally honors this day by launching a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were thrilled with the release of Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, enthusiasts can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known to long-time fans as Slave I (view it on the LEGO Store). The name was changed in 2021 at Disney's request (confirmed by LEGO), reflecting a shift away from the term 'slave' due to its sensitive connotations. This change appears to be permanent.

The last 'large' rendition of this LEGO starship was launched in 2019, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a 1007-piece set, which showcased the ship as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The latest iteration, featuring a whopping 2970 pieces, captures the ship's appearance from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. This new model is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, measuring an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
