The White Wolf is back for the last time as production for The Witcher Season 5 is currently underway. New photos of Liam Hemsworth as the lead, Geralt de Rivia, alongside other new and returning characters, have surfaced online. These seemingly leaked set photos, which fans can view via the Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, feature the Hunger Games actor in full costume, sporting the character's signature long blonde hair. Familiar faces such as Meng’er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier are also seen, having been part of the show since Henry Cavill, the former Superman star, led the narrative. Hemsworth was announced as Cavill's replacement for Season 4 and the final Season 5 back in October 2022.

Additionally, set images reveal new characters introduced in Season 4 who will carry over into the final season, including the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in Morbius, as Emiel Reigs. The leaked photos suggest that Season 5 may draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's "Tower of the Swallow," where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him toward druids. However, with Season 4 yet to be released, the story could take any turn, and there's still much to explore before fans can piece together the full narrative.
Henry Cavill isn't the only one who has left the series and been recast. Kim Bodnia, who portrayed Geralt's father figure and mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement for the role, and there is no official release date for Season 4 either.
