Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a remarkably long 75-day run, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.
While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, anticipation is high. The exceptionally successful launch of Black Ops 6, boasting record player numbers in its first month, has recently seen a dip. Speculation points towards ongoing cheating issues in Ranked Play and persistent server problems as contributing factors. The community hopes the new season's content and improvements will revitalize the game's player base.
Season 2 Launch Confirmed
Treyarch confirmed the January 28th launch date within a recent update addressing Zombies mode issues. While some fixes were delayed until Season 2, the studio explicitly stated the launch date. A detailed blog post unveiling the full Season 2 content is expected soon.
Season 1 delivered a substantial amount of new content, including multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events. Warzone players also experienced a significant overhaul with the integration of Black Ops 6's movement system, new weaponry, gameplay updates, and the addition of the Area-99 Resurgence map. The return of popular maps like Nuketown and Hacienda from Black Ops 4 further enhanced the Season 1 experience.
Looking ahead, Treyarch has hinted at more classic map remasters for Season 2. While no map is ruled out, the studio has emphasized its focus on original content alongside remakes.
