Black Ops 6 Unveils New Zombies Map
No Amalgams in This Map
Treyarch has officially announced a brand-new addition to the round-based survival mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 — a fresh Zombies map that marks the fifth new map introduced in the game. A first look at the upcoming location was shared via the official Call of Duty Twitter account and the Treyarch Studios X (formerly Twitter) page. The teaser, posted on March 12, 2025, features an image of a grand, war-torn mansion with visible damage, flaming military vehicle wreckage, smoke rising from within, and fire engulfing parts of the structure.
The post reads: “Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…” along with the hashtag #Zombies. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften is a well-known character in the franchise who played a pivotal role in Call of Duty: Cold War. Since Black Ops 6 serves as a reimagining of that title, Eddie’s return comes as no surprise.
Fans have also noted that this map appears to be set in the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991 according to the teaser art. This timeline aligns with the narrative established in the previous Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the unfolding story arc.
One of the most notable aspects of this new map is the confirmed absence of Amalgam enemies. This detail was revealed when a fan commented on Treyarch’s Instagram post, expressing excitement about facing off against multiple Amalgams on the new map. The developers simply responded with "Nope." Amalgams are powerful elite enemies known for their high health and devastating attacks. Their removal could lead to a more balanced and accessible gameplay experience on this map.
