Nintendo’s rich history, spanning over a century, will soon be accessible to fans at the newly built Nintendo Museum in Kyoto, Japan, set to open on October 2, 2024. Shigeru Miyamoto recently provided a fascinating video tour on YouTube, highlighting the museum's exhibits that detail the company's extensive collection of memorabilia and iconic products which have shaped one of the most prominent brands in video game history.
The Nintendo Museum is built on the historic site of the original factory where Nintendo first produced its Hanafuda playing cards back in 1889. The modern two-story museum offers fans an engaging retelling of Nintendo's legacy and its early days. Visitors will be greeted by a Mario-themed plaza at the front, setting the stage for a comprehensive journey through Nintendo's entire history.
