Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut
Marvel Rivals' Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," boasts double the content of a typical season, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This expanded season is a deliberate choice by the developers, driven by the desire to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group.
This substantial update includes three new maps based on iconic New York City locations: the Sanctum Sanctorum (launching with Season 1 and featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
The initial release will feature Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) from the Fantastic Four. The Thing and Human Torch are slated to arrive in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later. While this season is significantly larger, NetEase Games hasn't clarified how this will affect future content releases. The current expectation is that each subsequent season will add two new characters.
Despite the excitement surrounding Season 1, the absence of Blade has disappointed some fans. However, the possibility of his future inclusion remains open. With a wealth of new content and ongoing speculation, the anticipation for Marvel Rivals' future is high.
